Sewing Instructions Overview

Cut the required pieces:

  • Two bodice fronts and one back

  • Two raglan sleeves

  • Two upper skirt panels (approx. 88–96 cm wide x 31 cm long)

  • Four lower skirt panels (approx. 93–97 cm wide x 58 cm long)

  • One wide tie belt (length varies by size, about 180–196 cm long and 36 cm wide)

Allowances:

  • Seam and edge allowances: 1.5 cm

  • Hem allowance for skirt: 1.5 cm

  • Hem allowance for sleeves: 2 cm
    (Note: allowances are already included in pieces a–e)

Sew the bodice with raglan sleeves first. Attach the gathered skirt below the waistline. Use the tie belt to accentuate the waist and add a graceful finish. The clean V neckline and soft gathers of the skirt make it an excellent project for showcasing printed fabrics—especially paisleys and florals!
